Driving down Rt 22, I enjoy singing, "California Mortgage- Refinance Today"
It was a beautiful day riding down California's route 22. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing and the music on the radio was really good. Even the commercials were enjoyable. My favorite was the one for California's top mortgage company with the motto, "California Mortgage - Refinance Today!" They had all sorts of interesting people talk about what a great rate they had gotten with their company. The best was the end of their few minutes when they did a whole song, "California Mortgage - Refinance Today." I had a long drive in front of me and I was enjoying singing along with them, "California Mortgage - Refinance Today."
I see two hitchhikers and with good holiday cheer, I give them a ride, still singing "California Mortgage- Refinance Today"
I saw two men looking for a ride and stopped to let them in. After wishing them a cheery, "Happy Holidays" the car was silent. Silent at least until my favorite commercial came on. Then I started singing, "California Mortgage- Refinance Today." The men in the back were quiet, allowing me to enjoy my entertainment. Then the younger of the two spoke up. "Hey mister - 'California Mortgage - Refinance Today' - that's my old man's company and they're always looking for new voices for their commercial. Your voice isn't bad - I think you should try out!" We exchanged information. And the following month, would you know it? I was singing along to "California Mortgage- Refinance Today" with none other than yours truly!
